Change the default SSID

Once the management console on your wireless router, access the wireless settings, so that you can see and change the SSID.

The actual steps can vary by provider, so you should consult the documentation for your wireless router for detailed instructions. The example is based on a Linksys WRT300N Wireless-N based.

• Click Wireless in the menu bar at the top
• Click on the Basic Wireless Settings submenu

Here you can see the network name or SSID.
